Introduction to the blog

Can AI be trusted ? – The more we look into this , there are more people who say it cannot , there are people who do trust and other might say neither.AI is one complex topic to understand from a common man’s perspective.

This is not the first blog to talk about ethics in self-driving cars, be it moral or decision based ethics. We tried to address 5 key things that are mostly not discussed together.

This web blog talks about “self driving cars ” on 3 different levels of ethics

  • Who’s responsible for the car
  • The bias and fairness of the decisions
  • Privacy
  • Moral Agent

From researching on the topics above we tried answering these popular question

  • If car is going to decide who would be responsible? The car? The passenger inside the car? Or the car manufacturer company?
  • They will have some personal private information about their owners such as their destinations, the roots they prefer and the habits they have when they are in the car (e.g. the radio station or the music they like to listen to). Who has access to the data?
  • In the case of an inevitable accident, whose safety would be first? The passengers in the car? Or the others (e.g. the pedestrians or the passengers in the other cars)?
